Torah Unwrapped

304,805 Letters in a Torah scroll.

3,320 Years since the first Torah was handwritten on raw parchment.

1 Chance to try it yourself!

Children explore the process of making a Torah, during this interactive workshop.

Uncover the history of hundred-year-old scrolls, see and handle unfinished hides for parchment, mix ink, fashion goose-feather quills and watch the scribe as he practices his "scribal scribble" on a piece of parchment!

Workshop includes Torahs, Tefillin and Mezuzot of different traditions which have survived persecution through the ages.

Every Sunday April 14-June 16

Age: 5+

Free with Museum Admission.
