Group Rates and Policies
Group Visits
Sunday: 9:30 or 10:30
Mon–Thurs: 10:00 or 10:30
Tours are 2 hours in length
(Preschool tours 1˝ hours)
Scheduling your visit
Reservations are required for all group visits. Call our reservations office at 718-907-8888.
We will make every effort to accommodate your visit preferences, space permitting.
Group Rates

Minimum group fee is $140, regardless of group size.
Complimentary Chaperones
One chaperone is required for every five children ages 3–5.
One chaperone is required for every 10 students in first grade and older.
Chaperones exceeding the required ratio pay the per-student fee.
Deposit
All reservations require a non-refundable 25% deposit within two weeks of the date the reservation is made. We are unable to hold a reservation without a deposit. Deposits may be made by credit card or check. The remaining balance must be paid in full upon arrival. Please include your reservation number on all checks or money orders.
Cancellation
Cancellations must be made at least two weeks prior to the originally scheduled visit. Deposits will not be refunded for canceled visits. Deposits are transferable if you reschedule your visit within 30 days of the cancellation.
On-Time Arrival
Out of courtesy to other groups, programs will need to end on time. If you arrive late, we cannot guarantee a complete program.
Lunch
The Museum offers indoor lunch facilities for group tours. Participants may bring their own lunches or order bagged lunches through Mendy’s, the Museum’s in-house restaurant. Arrangements for lunch should be made at the time of reservation. A menu will be provided so that you can pre-order lunch for your group.
Museum Shop
The Museum Shop offers a variety of fun and educational toys, games, books and other items that reinforce the concepts presented in the exhibits. Many items are priced under $2. Following the scheduled tour, students are welcomed to shop, but must be supervised by an adult.
School Buses
Your driver may drive up Eastern Parkway (service road) and unload passengers near the museum entrance, but cannot park in either place. Parking is available on local streets. You will receive more information about arrival procedures and parking upon confirmation of your reservation.
Accessibility
The museum is ADA compliant and all group programs are adaptable for students with special needs. Please specify student needs when you make your reservation.
Educators’ Preview Tours
School principals and teachers are welcome to tour our facilities, free of charge, prior to their students’ visits. If you are interested please call 718.907.8888.
